AITE Cable manufactures solid copper-clad steel (CCS) tracer wire for underground water-utility projects to buyer and project specifications. For Open Trench / Open Cut, AITE offers High-Flex and High-Strength CCS. For HDD and directional boring, the current range uses Extra High-Strength CCS.

Break load is product data, not tensile strength. Use the required minimum break load in the project or buyer specification when checking product fit.
AITE's applicable CCS tracer wire constructions use HMWPE/HDPE direct-burial insulation.

A 45 mil / 600V construction is also available in the Open Trench range; insulation thickness alone does not define an HDD construction.
Under the APWA Uniform Color Code, blue identifies potable water. Purple is used for reclaimed water, irrigation and slurry lines.
For OEM or project orders, specify the required insulation color in the RFQ. The project or utility specification should control the final color.

If there is a difference between your specification and our standard construction, we will identify it before product confirmation. If the project specifically requires solid copper, CCS should not be treated as an automatic substitute.
Product datasheets and applicable technical documentation can be provided for project, distributor or supplier review. If your approval process requires specific documents, include the list with the RFQ so we can confirm availability for the quoted construction.
